The official vehicle of Kitui Deputy Governor Wathe Nzau has been traced in Mombasa.
The vehicle has been missing since Thursday last week alongside the driver.
It is alleged that his driver Anthony Kang’oti vanished with the Prado in Mwingi. He is yet to be located.
Mombasa police commander Johnston Ipara on Monday confirmed that the vehicle was found in Likoni area.
“We are yet to get the driver. We are working to know who was the driver. I am yet to get more details on it,” Mr Ipara is quoted by Nation.
Mr Kang'oti is said to have vanished with the car soon after taking Dr Nzau to the requiem mass of the 10 pupils who perished in a road accident in Mwingi.
Since the disappearance, detectives have been searching for the vehicle.
