Aden says that as the Leader of Majority in Parliament, Duale should be at the front line of fighting for the interests and rights of Kenyans.

According to the former Orange Party lawmaker, Duale’s support for the Finance Bill 2018 that imposes 8% VAT on fuel was betrayal to millions of Kenyans.

“The office of the Leader of Majority is the voice of Kenyans and it is shameful that the holder of the office is working against the interests of Kenyans," the former legislator said.

The former MP said that the Finance Bill 2018 will hurt Kenyans more.

He also hit out at the Jubilee government for slashing budgetary allocations to counties and other government entities.

He said that Kenyans are going to suffer economically in the coming days, adding that the government should reduce on its external borrowing.

“There is no need for over-borrowing and then pushing the burden to poor tax payers,” he added.

President Kenyatta has been under attacks for signing the Finance Bill 2018 into law.

A section of MPs have even threatened to challenge the law in court.
