Self proclaimed Gusii community spokesman Simba Arati has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta will over stay in power even after his term comes to an end.
Arati, a former critic come Uhuru's ally after the handshake, said Uhuru will be Prime Minister after 2022.
In the new constitutional arrangement, he added, his party leader Raila Odinga will be President.
“Kenyans should prepare for the new power line up. Raila will be President in 2022 with President Uhuru serving as his Prime Minister,” said Mr Arati, a close ally of Raila’s.
He added: "Those against it should start getting used to that. That's the reality."
Mr. Arati has been a pillar in Building Bridges initiative has in the last two weeks, he accompanied Raila and Uhuru when they visited Kisii and Nyamira Counties.
While Uhuru has remained cautious on the deal, he has however warned those opposing it.
ODM party has since thrown it's wait behind constitutional changes despite revolt by DP William Ruto.
"The handshake has a deeper meaning. It's only Raila and myself who understands it," Uhuru said on Wednesday.
