Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has predicted doom for lawmakers who have been aligning themselves with the 'Tanga Tanga' and 'Kieleweke' factions.
The 'Tanga Tanga' group consists of politicians allied to Deputy Presidential William Ruto while the 'Kieleweke' group has declared war on the DP's 2022 presidential ambitions.
Speaking during an interview on Radio Jambo on Wednesday night, the former county boss said that none of the groups is engaging in any activity that is beneficial to the common Kenyan, adding that they should prepare for punishment in the 2022 polls.
He noted that the politicians in both groups are not worth the tag 'leaders', on grounds that they have shelved their role as persons who should be striving to better the lives of Kenyans to engage in unnecessary politicking.
"Hakuna group hapo inasaidia wakenya (none of the groups is of any help to Kenyans). They are not worth being called leaders," he said on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi show.
Kabogo argued that all the politicians allied to the two groups should prepare to leave power after the 2022 polls, predicting that all will be voted out by angry and disappointed Kenyans.
"Hawa 'Kieleweke' na 'Tanga Tanga' wote wataenda nyumbani. Hakuna mtu atabaki hapo (all the 'Kieleweke' and 'Tanga Tanga' group members will be sent home. None of them will remain in power)," he added.
The 'Kieleweke' group has since wooed lawmakers allied to the opposition, while 'Tanga Tanga' remains purely made up of Ruto-allied Jubilee members and rebel opposition MPs.
