Two Nakuru female MCAs who recently fought over a boyfriend within the precincts of the Nakuru County Assembly have been summoned by the Jubilee Party.
Nakuru County Jubilee Chairman Peter Cheruiyot said on Thursday that the two nominated MCAs, Jackline Wangari Manyara and Joyce Anyiso will appear before the party's disciplinary committee wing at the party's head office in Nairobi.
The MCAs fought early in the week at a restaurant located within the Nakuru County Assembly and one of them is said to have been driven away from the Assembly compound in tattered clothes.
According to Cheruiyot, his office has already written to the party headquarters in Nairobi calling for the two leaders to be disciplined should they be found guilty.
"We have written to the head office in Nairobi proposing action should they be found to have contravened the Assembly regulations," Cheruiyot told local Taifa Leo on Thursday.
The two leaders are reportedly said to have engaged in a brief verbal exchange before a fight ensued.
On Wednesday Nakuru County Police Commander Hassan Barua said police will not intervene as the MCAs fought within the County Assembly. By law, the two enjoy the Assembly's immunity.
