This is after details emerged that the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Haji was probing ten Cabinet Secretaries over the scandal in which government is said to have lost over Sh1.5 billion.

According to documents seen by Citizen TV, the 10 ministers were among 30 top government officials who have been implicated in the saga which is alleged to have taken place in January this year.

This has led to a section of opposition leaders led by FORD-Kenya deputy party leader Boni Khalwale to call on President Kenyatta to dissolve the Cabinet in which almost half of the ministers have been put on the radar of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

"The President should dissolve the entire cabinet and borrow from what Moi (retired president Daniel Moi) did when things were looking so bad for his government," Khalwale said during Citizen TV's Power Breakfast show on Thursday.

Speaking at the same panel, Wiper Secretary General Peter Mathuki said the Ruaraka land saga had put Uhuru's reputation at stake and advised him to crack the whip on the implicated ministers to show the world he was indeed keen on the war on graft.

"In the developed world, once one is mentioned, they step aside for investigation. I think it is upon the President to say that the mentioned should step aside so that we can get to the bottom of this matter," Mathuki stated.
