Former Nairobi governor aspirant Miguna Miguna is the only person with capacity and courage to save Kenyans from the hands of cartels, Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut has said.

Mr Chepkut, a close ally of DP William Ruto and long-serving aide to former powerful minister Nicholas Biwott, said Miguna's excommunication from the country was unwarranted, adding that he should be allowed back.

"Special shout out to General Miguna Miguna. The only man who can save Kenya and Kenyans from the Cartels. They are so scared of him that they have excommunicated him from his own country," observed the first term MP.

Mr Chepkut, a jovial legislator and popular in his constituency, is no stranger to controversy with his dressing code often attracting members of the public's attention.

Recently, he was pictured kneeling down before DP William Ruto. Months later, he was also seen wearing open shoes in a wedding with a suit and necktie.

On his Twitter on Saturday, Miguna said he'll land in the country in April, urging his followers to turn up. He was kicked out of the country last year despite numerous court orders compelling the state to facilitate his return.

"I'm arriving at the JKIA on a date to be published in April, 2019. All FEARLESS or BRAVE patriots interested in accompanying me on the journey should send emails to mm@migunamiguna.com. Mobilise and come to the JKIA. Let the revolution begin," he said.
