Speaking on Milele FM radio interview, the self-proclaimed official opposition leader said that he will not register for the Huduma Namba because it is of no importance.

Nafikiria maybe serikali ingeintegrate everything kwa national identity card (I do not believe that Huduma Number will add any value to the other numbers in different cards such as ID card, KRA pin certificate NHIF NSSF. I think the government could have integrated everything in the national identity card)," said Dr Aukot.

According to the former presidential candidate, the Huduma Namba registration may be a scandal and a loophole to allow for money looting. He also questioned the availability of funds when it comes to IT-driven solutions to problems in Kenya.

(Why is it that every time we have IT-driven solutions in this country there is always billions of money available? And why is this Huduma Namba being pushed so hard though there are Kenyans who do not have Identity Cards and passports)," he noted.

This comes after the government stated that the current deadline of May 18 will not be extended adding that though it is not mandatory, the unregistered Kenyans will suffer.
