Chege wrote back to Orange House boss John Mbadi stating that the said changes could not be effected because it is not the NASA coalition that requested them.

According to Mwaura's letter, the county assembly only recognises NASA and not the individual parties.

“The recognised entity at the County Assembly is NASA, which is a coalition. Indeed, you will note that the Deputy Minority Leader at the Assembly is from a different party, but in the same coalition. Therefore the decisions contemplated in your letter can only emanate from the coalition for which the Minority Leader was appointed,” he said.

In his earlier letter, Mbadi was asking the house to replace Minority leader Elias Otieno of Kileleshwa by Kennedy Oyugi of Nyayo Highrise ward.

He also wanted that Minority Whip Peter Imwatok of Makongeni ward be replaced by Nicholas Okumu.
