Speaking on Wednesday, the former nominated senator bashed politicians, especially those allied to the ruling Jubilee Party who have been firing insults at each other.

She said that the same goes against Biblical dictates, adding that the group is angering God, who is in turn retaliating by denying the Kenyans peace and economic stability.

"Biblia inasema tuheshimu wazazi, tunapomtusi rais ambaye ni baba yetu tunakosea Mungu. Mungu hana raha nasi, na huenda ndio maana tuko na madeni na hatupati revenue (The bible commands us to honour our parents, and therefore, we go against this when we insult the president, our father. God is angry with us, hence the debts and revenue shortage)," she said.

Elachi was speaking on Radio Citizen's Mjadala Wa Citizen, Wednesday morning, where she added that the problems might also be emanating from insincerity in Jubilee.

She argued that some Jubilee members appear to have been insincere as the party agreed to stick to Godly ways of operations after its President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection in 2017.

"Jubilee tuliomba Mungu wakati wa 2017 na nikadhani no serious lakini sasa naona kuna wengine walikuwa na mzaha. Ndio maana Mungu ameamua tuwe wafisadi (We prayed as Jubilee in 2017, and I thought they were serious prayers but it now seems some of out members were only joking. His could be the reason why God has slapped us with graft)," she added.

This comes at s time when the party has since split into two sides; Tangatanga and Kieleweke, with the Tangatanga team having repeatedly questioned Uhuru's leadership.

Some members have accused Uhuru of planning to betray his deputy William Ruto whom he vowed to endorse for the presidency in 2022 after his 2018 truce with opposition boss Raila Odinga.
