Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has promised tough days ahead for county Governor Mike Sonko, insisting that their differences are not just about to end.
So troublesome has been their relationship that Ms Passaris had to walk out during Madaraka Day celebrations when Sonko responded to her concerns.
At Mombasa on Thursday, Passaris said she will single handedly bring down the flamboyant governor for disrespecting her.
“I am going to bring down Sonko because it is ridiculous that we have such a governor,” she told an applauding audience, Thursday.
“People have cautioned me not to bring him down because he will drag my name in the dirt, but I remain committed in my quest to bring him down,” she said as quoted by the Standard.
Early this week, Sonko accused Passaris of hiding in women to bring him down, adding that he will not be moved by the Women Representative's antics.
The Nairobi County boss also insisted that he would not apologise to the MP following their scuffle.
“Passaris’ motive is to incite women against me, yet the comment was specifically directed to her. I will not apologise,” Sonko said.
“Mine was a response to her comments. I don’t understand how they missed her remarks and picked on mine,” said Sonko as quoted by the Standard.
