A middle-aged man lost his left ear after he was attacked by another man in a love triangle.

 The incident happened on Thursday in Masimba, Nyaribari Masaba in Kisii County. 

According to witnesses, trouble started when Paul Omete busted Douglas Oroo with his longtime girlfriend Rose Manyara in a comprising situation. 

“Omete has been seducing Rose for over the last 2 years but, Oroo came from nowhere and took over. Omete laid a trap on him and found his woman with the man when he attacked him with a knife chopping off his left ear,” said Hezbon Moruye.

Moruye said Oroo was rushed to Hema hospital bleeding after the ear was cut off.

 Area assistant chief, Stephen Mogendi, said the woman and the suspect are still at large. 

“The victim is in hospital receiving treatment but he will not have his ear back. The victim and the woman have gone into hiding. It seems they did set up Oroo,” said Mogendi.
