Two weeks after pastor Elisha Njuguna of Gospel Redeemers church was accused of touching a woman inappropriately during a prayer session, the pastor was on Thursday afternoon caught pants down with a church member's wife at his home in Lelmolok.
The pastor was smoked out of his house with only his underwear.
It is alleged that Pst. Njuguna and the lady who is someone's wife have been seeing each other for quite some time. Villagers had however not taken the matter seriously as they thought it was a normal relationship between a pastor and a church member.
"This is so embarrassing. How can a man entrusted with such a responsibility do such immoral acts? This must be punishable," John Kipkorir, a church member said.
Villagers hoped the disgrace given to the pastor was enough for him to change his behaviour. In addition, some of the church members present said they have excluded him from the church and they would start looking for a new pastor.
"He is an embarrassment and shame to our church. We no longer recognize him as one of us. We will replace him and he will no longer be welcomed at Gospel Redeemers church," Eunice Mwangi, an usher at the church stated.
Locals also warned married women against engaging in illicit affairs with their pastors.
