Mutheu is a re-known witch doctor from Tala in Matungulu, Machakos County.
She received unexpected visitors who stormed her house without any notice on Tuesday.
A contingent of 30-heavily-armed police officers forcibly paved their way into her compound in a fleet of vehicles.
They searched everywhere in the witch doctors compound and arrested two people believed to be in a car theft syndicate.
The famous witchdoctor is believed to be part of the syndicate.
On their arrival, they found her family members together with other people whom they questioned.
Various things were recovered from her house.
Addressing reporters at the scene, Mr. Yego, who led the operations confirmed Mutheu's arrest.
Yego disclosed to the scribes items recovered from the witch doctor's home.
“We have found engines, gearboxes and 130 national identity cards of different persons in the house. We find it interesting that the IDs were found here and we are still investigating the circumstances under which they found their way here,” Yego said.
