Brazilian Lucas Moura scored the other three goals.

It was Wanyama’s first goal for the Club this season, and also his first since scoring a stunner against Liverpool in February last year.

After the game, Spurs Manager Argentine Mauricio Pochettino said t was nice for Wanyama to score and play the entire 90 minutes after initially being pegged back by a niggling knee injury.

"It’s always amazing for a player who has been injured for a while to feel the net, to feel the grass, to play 90 minutes and, for Victor, it’s fantastic news that he can be fit again and he can play and help the team like he did," he told tottenhamhotspur.com.

Wanyama is expected to play a major role for Harambee Stars during this year’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Ghana between June and July, this year.
