Njenga said the current constitution is not cohesive when it comes to sharing of elective positions.

The former Mungiki leader argued that creation of more constitutional positions will guarantee the country's unity.

He said that Kenyans are sharply divided because the current constitution limits power to a few people.

"Constitutional review will guarantee a stable and united country and politicians across the divide should consider it," he said on Sunday during a service at Souls Winners Church in Limuru.

Njenga said that he will rally young people and Kenyans to support the push to have the constitution amended.

He said that issues that rock the country after every general election will not occur if the 2010 constitution is reviewed.

Several politicians among them former Prime Minister Raila Odinga are rooting for constitutional review before the 2022 general election.

A section of church leaders has also called for the amendment of the constitution.

However, some politicians among them Deputy President William Ruto have publicly opposed calls to amend the constitution.

DP Ruto has been quoted saying that it is not right to change the law in order to create political positions for election losers.

Last week, Cotu Secretary General Francis Atwoli vowed to push for the amendment of the constitution before the 2022 general election.
