However once an employment opportunity comes, the next hurdle for many job seekers in the city is on how and what to wear to the interview.

Many job seekers fail in job interviews because of how they present themselves in terms of dressing.

While dressing for job interviews varies with the type of the job, there are certain colors that are recommended for interviews and colors that are not recommended.

Here are colors you should never wear to a job interview.

1. Green

2. Yellow,

3. Orange

4. Purple

According to Image consultant Mercy Chebet, these colors (green, yellow, orange and purple) are shouting and they communicate fun and don’t elicit a feeling of trust, confidence, and commitment associated with interviews.

She says that many job seekers choose the wrong colours and this contributes to their failure in interviews.

“Green, yellow, purple and orange are not good colors to wear to a job interview,” she says.

The image consultant argues that these colors would best work in social gatherings or in house meetings.
