Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna on Thursday treated Kenyans to another round of his antics with his renewed push to return to Kenya.
He took to Twitter where he announced that he will make a comeback after September 4.
"For the cowards with low self-esteem celebrating the fact that @UKenyatta and @RailaOdinga destroyed my valid Kenyan passport and my house, abducted, detained and tortured me before forcefully removing me, mark this in PERMANENT INK: I am coming back after September 4th. Viva!” read the tweet.
However, the self-styled NRM ‘general’ did not give a definite date for his return, something that led to an exchange of words with his followers.
After his second and most dramatic deportation on March 28, Miguna announced he would return to Kenya on May 16. But he canceled his trip hours to his flight to Kenya.
He said this would allow the Immigration department to regularize his citizenship.
“I was determined to arrive home on schedule, however, just before my departure, I reluctantly canceled my flight to Nairobi and postponed my next arrival date,” said Miguna then in a tweet.
“In view of the refusal by the Department of Immigration to issue me with a valid Kenyan passport and facilitate my unconditional re-entry into Kenya as ordered by the High Court and formally requested by the Kenya National Commission for Human Rights on my behalf, and on advice from legal counsel, I have instructed my advocates to immediately bring to the attention of the court the continued willful contempt of its orders,” he added.
