News of the brutal murder of Sharon Otieno, a Medical Records second-year student at Rongo University has saddened many people across the nation.
Her body was discovered in Kodera Forest in Homa Bay County. Her unfortunate murder put an end to another life, as she was only 2 months away giving birth. She was 7 months pregnant.
Before her death, Sharon lived her life like a queen. This is proven by pictures from her Facebook page. Her life was above what normal university students could live.
In most of her Facebook pictures, she can be seen at expensive and luxurious hotels and also around different airports.
In one of her photos on Facebook, one of her friends commented with a Luo word “Japesa” which means someone with a lot of money. She responded with a thank you message which clearly shows she had a lot of money more than a normal university girl.
It is alleged that Sharon together with a Nation journalist Barack Oduor was kidnapped in Rongo University. Fortunately, Barack managed to escape by jumping from a moving car.
Police have launched investigations into her murder with sources indicating that they two were abducted by the Migori County Governor Okoth Obado.
