There was a light moment at Maxwell SDA Church on Tuesday when Siaya Senator James Orengo came face to face with Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i.
At some point in 2017, Orengo had threatened to sue Matiang'i at the Hague over extra judicial killing as the two factions wrangled following election outcome.
While attending Governor John Nyagarama's son's morgue bill fund raiser, the two bombarded attendees with jokes over their past relationship.
"I though thank he had ordered the police to come for me when I saw him in this congregation. I even contemplated calling my lawyer for protection.
"Hopefully I will not be teargassed when I am through with this important function. I am happy that we have met," he said amid laughter.
Earlier, Matiang'i had confessed that it was the first time he sat closer to Orengo and even for longer hours than before.
The two leaders sat side by side with Governors Nyagarama (Nyamira) and James Ongwae (Kisii) occupying the other side of the church.
