News about sudden death of popular Egesa FM presenter have not only shocked the entire nation but also raised questions about depression and marital problems.
On Saturday Joseph Mochere alias Okebiro O'Mose committed suicide at his Imara Daima home with a post by his wife, Teresa Moraa hinting of a possible domestic brawl.
"Mtu akisema anajiua na aue watoto utafanyaje? Please your advice," she wrote in a message that would later be deleted.
While details about his suicide remains scanty, leaders from across Gusii led by Governor James Ongwae of Kisii have sent condolences to the family of the popular comedian.
An exclusive video taken last year September however, seemingly portrays that Mr. Mochere could have predicted his own death.
Though sounding comical, Mochere had claimed that that he'd 'receiver a letter for his death' adding that friends should come to his funeral in numbers.
"Lastly, I have received a letter (about his death) and when I die, kindly come in numbers like today," he was recorded saying during the burial of Benga musician Onsongo Omosongo.
Throughout his time at Egesa, Mochere established a formidable audience, evident when his lifeless body was dragged from Imara Daima home.
Police are yet to make public the reason behind his unprecedented suicide.
