Speaking at the Eldoret Sports Club on Saturday, Buzeki said the government should stop the demolitions of the houses allegedly illegally build on riparian land and road reserves.

The billionaire businessman said it was wrong for the government to bring down the houses yet owners had approvals of all relevant government agencies.

“I am not supporting the governments' decision to bring down houses which are being said to have been constructed on riparian lands. The ongoing demolition of houses in Nairobi must stop since owners are incurring huge losses,” he said.

Buzeki cautioned that the demolitions were scaring away potential investors.

“The government is scaring away investors by demolishing houses which were constructed using millions of shillings. It is time President Uhuru Kenyatta considered reversing his stand on the demolition of houses,” he added.

Buzeki however, urged Kenyans and other foreign investors not to rush to construct houses on lands they purchase.

He also welcomed more investors to Uasin Gishu saying he is the future governor in the county.
