Coach rating - 4/10 Migne has a lot of improvement to do, never opted to change his tactics even when the team was losing.
Patrick Matasi - 7/10 looked shaky during the first 45 minutes, but was solid and kept Kenya for the most part of the game.
Philemon Otieno – 4/10 Otieno was tasked with guarding the right flank but struggled to adjust for the most part of the game.
Stanley Okumu – 4/10 brought to deputize injured Joash Onyango, Okumu was sloppy with the ball and struggled in keeping away the Algerian strikers.
Mohamed Musa – 5/10 troubled by through balls as he failed to keep up with Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah but marshalled the defence well.
Abud Omar – 5/10 his battle with Riyad Mahrez was vital to keeping Algeria out, defensively he was not quick enough to react and was caught out of position.
Dennis Omino – 4/10 gave away possession cheaply. His night was summed up after he conceded a penalty.
Victor Wanyama – 7/10 barely noticed during the opening stages but was neat with his passes and had 100 per cent tackle completion.
Erick Johana Omondi – 4/10 never looked like creating something, was off the pace.
Francis Kahata – 4/10 a good player, but he was unable to find space and often failed to connect with his teammates.
Masika Ayub Timbe - 6/10 the youngster showed ambition and urgency in the game, opting to beat off his marker.
Michael Olunga – 5/10 a major disappointment from a man who loves scoring, failed to make his presence felt.
Substitutes
Erick Ouma - 5/10 replaced Kahata early on in the second half, looked composed on the ball.
Johana Omolo – N/A showed glimpses of what he can do in the few minutes he got and almost handed Kenya a consolation.
Ismael Athuman – N/A brought late on in the 88th minute. Did not have much of an effect.
