For the recent past, the mainstream media industry has experienced a major reshuffle with exit and entry of celebrated media personalities from and to rival media stations.
The most recent to join this group is KTN's Swahili News anchor Mwashirima Kapombe, who has jumped ship to Royal Media's Citizen TV.
In an Instagram post, the fluent Swahili anchor broke the news to her fans on Sunday that she has pitched tent at Citizen TV after working at KTN for over four years.
The always smiling Mwashirima joins the likes of Willis Raburu, Joe Ageyo, Linus Kaikai, Larry Madowo, Victoria Rubadiri and Kimani Mbugua who have recently ditched their current employers for 'greener' pastures.
"The journey continues, super excited," posted Mwashirima.
Mwashirima Kapombe has been recommended as the best choice to fit in the vacancy that was created by Kanze Dena after landing a government job.
Ms Kanze Dena was appointed as the Deputy Statehouse Spokesperson.
She was previously airing Swahili News alongside Lulu Hassan.
