A middle-aged man escaped with panga cut injuries after he sneaked into his neighbour's bedroom.
The incident happened on Saturday at 8 pm in Riondong'a Nyaribari Chache in Kisii County.
It is alleged that Vincent Ondigi has been having an illicit love affair with his neighbour's wife Chrispine Moraa.
"Ondigi thought Moraa's husband was not in the house when he sneaked to the house, as usual, to have sex with Moraa. He was caught lying on bed naked waiting for Moraa who was having a bath in a bathroom," said Ascah Kerubo.
Kerubo said Moraa's husband operates at night as a boda boda rider.
"Moraa's husband returned home abruptly from work only to find Ondigi in bed. He picked a panga which he used to attack the victim with before he managed to escape from the house while bleeding," she stated.
Area chief Emmanuel Ombeta said Moraa's husband reported the incident to him immediately.
"The woman's husband reported the matter to me after he cut the victim with a panga. The victim has gone into hiding but, the woman refused that she is the one who invited him to her house," said the chief.
He said the woman will be interrogated more since she seems to be a liar.
