Tue former US President Barrack Obama has lavished praise to Kenya as he recollected his fond memories about his travel to Kenya which is his father's roots.

Speaking while interacting with the audience in the sidelines of the 19th World Trade and Tourism Summit in Spain, Obama acknowledged how beautiful Kenya is.

According to the facebook post by the Statehouse Kenya, Obama expressed that his most memorable trip was when he visited Kenya in his mid 20's since he wanted to understand his heritage, the place where his father Barrack Obama Senior was born and also to meet members of his extended family in Ko'gallo.

"President Barack Obama, the 44th President of the United States of America, has today said that one of his most memorable trip abroad was when he visited Kenya in his mid 20's," read the facebook post.

President Obama acknowledged the presence of the Kenyan First Lady and expressed his gratitude saying he was pleased to see her representing Kenya at the summit.

He also added that foreign travels and adventure helps the generations to understand diverse cultures, peoples way of life.

"Travel also reminds us what we are, what we share and what we have in common," said the former US President.

He expressed a lot of interest in the youthful generation noting that the youths are more adaptive to different cultures and environments without complicated reservations.

"Young people are more tolerant and not afraid of the unfamiliar or change," Obama added.

Kenya is a tourism attraction nation with many historic sites which individuals across the globe explore in learning more about it.
