Several men, both married and single living or visiting Mlolongo seek commercial sex workers' services in the town.
It is obvious that the archins' clients use protection while others do not.
Failure to use protection while being served by sex workers expose men to health risks, their lives can be shuttered forever.
Here are three ways men risk their lives in Mlolongo brothels:
1. Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI's)
This affects mostly who don't use protection.
Many sex workers are infected with deadly diseases like AIDS. Others don't know their status.
"Many clients do not want to use protection. Due to this, they put themselves and us at risk of Sexually Transmitted Diseases like HIV/AIDS or even syphilis," said Mary Achieng', a sex worker in Mlolongo town.
2. Mugging.
Some sex workers liase with friends or thugs to steal from clients.
"I was once attacked and beaten badly by these sexworkers. I nearly lost my life," said Sammy Nderitu, a truck driver who operates between Mombasa and Kampala through Mlolongo town.
Nderitu said he spends days in mlolongo waiting tor weighbridge services.
He claimed that most sex workers are thieves and can easily kill you.
"I lost my phone, cash and a watch. They nearly dislocated my neck," he said.
3. Getting drugged.
The client risks 'kuekewa mchele' ( being drugged) by these sex workers.
"I have seen many men get drugged by these twilight girls. The men fall prey when they offer to buy drinks for the girls before going for the bedroom acrobats," said Cathy Mueni who has been a cleaner at a restaurant in Mlolongo town for the last six years.
Cathy said most men have been rushed to hospitals while others die from drugs overdose.
Practice good sex manners to avoid such incidences.
If married, be faithful and if single marry.
