Senator Gideon Moi thrilled his audience at Homa Bay Tourist Hotel on Sunday when he said he will help Raila Odinga 'capture crocodiles in River Jordan on their way to Canaan'.
Addressing an excited crowd during fundraiser for Abedo Women Group where he contributed Sh3 million, Moi further termed Raila's journey to Canaan 'unstoppable' adding that he will not be left behind.
"Nimeskia Raila akisema eti Jordan kuna mamba. Wakati huu mimi ntasaidia yeye kukamata hawa mamba ndio tuvuke sisi wote pamoja," he said amid laughter from the audience.
It loosely translates to: "I have heard Raila talking of crocodiles in River Jordan. This time I will help him capture these reptiles and we shall cross together as a team."
Local leaders led by area Women Representative Gladys Wanga backed a Raila-Moi ticket in 2022, further sending a mixed signal across the country.
And Mr. Moi, who has expressed interest in presidency, said he has no problem working with Raila, a former critic of his father.
"I have no problem with Raila. The handshake even brought us together. He is a family friend and we shall reach Canaan he talks about together."
Mr. Odinga, who has since been appointed AU High Representative for Infrastructural Development, uses Canaan as a symbol for State House.
