A gynaecologist has warned men and women against shaving their pubic hair which has been considered a routine thing in today's life.

However, Specialist Ignatius Kibe has urged people to stop shaving saying the pubic hair was put there to serves a purpose and when you shave them it will be compromising with the private part's hygiene.
Speaking to Citizen TV, Kibe outlined a number of purposes served by the pubic hair besides increasing friction thus more pleasure for both parties when in a lovemaking session.
He also said that some people have sensitive skin and when such a person shaves his or her pubic hair, the reaction of the skin leaves the area with skin rashes and pimples, making it look unattractive and scaring.
Kibe added that when one shaves, chances of he or she ending up with injuries caused by the shaving tool are high, and with such injuries, risks to infections including the HIV/AIDS become high.
She advised women to stop using wax and shaving creams in the process of shaving which is considered as an advanced method.
"Women are shaving against the will of their husbands, most men prefer when she has the hair," said Kibe.
