Muthama who spoke on Sunday in Tala, Matungulu Sub County said that Mutua has failed in his leadership and should be ousted.

"Stop complaining about the governor when you can do something about it, just go to the Assembly, table a motion that will send him home," Muthama told the MCAs.

"Let the deputy governor take over until the Supreme Court decides whether there will a by-election or not," he added.

The former Senator further cautioned that when governor Mutua will leave Machakos county leadership, it will take twenty years to revive it back.

"I warned you of Mutua but you never listened, he has wrecked havoc in the county and after he is done, Machakos will be in a ditch," he said.

Muthama was responding to two MCAs who had earlier said that their working relationship with governor Mutua was strained.

"It's over a year after elections but Machakos has nothing to show. We have been complaining and complaining but the governor is still reluctant," said Cosmus Ngula, Matungulu East MCA.
