Do you also fear to live in an environment with lesser crime activities?

Do you dream of a safe Kibera and Nairobi without guns?

We could just be headed there after a call by Nairobi governor Mike Sonko asking those with guns to surrender them to authorities.

Sonko said on Saturday that he had given the gangs seven days to return the illegal firearms and added that those who heed his call will be met with amnesty.

He said this at the fundraiser of Harrison Karanja, a victim of gunshot injuries who was attacked in Kayole.

The governor also asked youths to shun crime and instead engage in beneficial activities that better their lives and those of the community around them.
