Hijab is a kind of scarf that is worn by Muslim women.
They come in different types like the chador, Shayla, khimar, niqab and the burqa.
The hijab is worn not for beauty or anything but for the purpose. As every religion has got its own culture and believes, Islamic religion has got it’s believe concerning the hijab.
Hijabs, head scarfs and long dresses are worn by Islam women as a sign of respect to Allah and a as a sign of dignity to the woman. Any woman who goes against Allah's commands will never go to paradise when she dies. This is a believe according to the Muslim religion.
The Quran gives instructions that the women should put on the hijab at all the times, more so during the puberty stage.
Zeituna Abdalla an Islamic teacher in Nairobi says that the Quran instructs them to wear hijabs at all times especially when they reach puberty.
“Wearing a hijab or veil is a sign of Islamic faith and respect to Allah’s commandments,” says Zeituna
Noor Adan also an Islamic teacher also confirmed that wearing Hijab in women is a sign of purity and righteousness.
Wearing Hijab is a sign of Islamic faith and respect given to Allah and is a way of following His commandments. It is also a way of modesty and respect to Allah.
Islamic religion doesn’t allow their women to put on clothes that expose their body parts especially the head and the neck.
Those who expose their body parts are said to be punished through occurrences of calamities and disasters to their families.
