As motorists continue suffering biting fuel shortage in Kenya after transporters protested the new 16% Value Added Tax (VAT), Bongo star Diamond Platnumz remembered his days when he used to work at a petrol station.

Growing up in a small village in Kigoma called Tandale before making his name as one of the most successful musicians in Africa, Diamond engaged in many odd jobs that could only make ends meet.
He could do casual jobs ranging from working in manufacturing industries, selling mitumba clothes to retailing in a petrol stations.
In 2007, only 11 years back, he was just but a retailer, selling kerosene. By then he was only Naseeb Abdul Juma and not the famous 'Simba' as most of his fans call him.

Diamond Platnumz is now many steps ahead from his 2007 lifestyle. He is a testimony to many.
He is now marketing his new hit song Jibebe in which he featured other WCB colleagues, Lava Lava and Mbosso.
