ODM treasurer Timothy Bosire has poked holes to impending trip by Deputy President William Ruto to Gusii scheduled on Friday, insisting that he's fond of wasting taxpayers money.
In a phone call, Bosire questioned his previous trips, adding that all projects he'd launched are yet to kick start. He accused Gusii leaders of failing to push for development in parliament.
"The trip is just a waste of taxpayer's money. He has been here before and I don't see the reason why he should be coming. MPs should instead focus on pushing for development in parliament," he said.
Dr Ruto has made at least 17 trips to both Kisii and Nyamira Counties in the last one year. Up to now, he has managed to assemble all MPs behind him ahead of 2022 polls.
But South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro says Ruto's visit is welcome, insisting that he's part of the development and the future of the country.
"Kupanga kazi pole pole...wewe pia panga yako...tuonane South Mugirango-Tabaka ward and Moticho ward on Friday 15th March with H.E Dr.William Samoei Ruto, the Deputy President of Kenya," he said.
Mr Bosire has been critical of the DP, often accusing him of launching projects which are either duplicates or imagery, an argument that has often been down played by Ruto's team.
