It is a shocking video that has left former Citizen Television business anchor Terryann Chebet horrified, scandalised and disgusted.
In a post on Twitter, Chebet alerted authorities to the video, calling on them to take action and urging social media users not to share the unconscionable video.
"Dear @DCI_Kenya @EzekielMutua there's a music video doing rounds called 'pigwa shoka' that's enacting Ivy's killing and basically asking young men to kill slay queens. It's horrific to say the least. I hope you can act on it with speed. Urging whoever has seen it not to share, " Chebet's tweet read.
Pigwa Shoka which means to be hit with an axe is the disturbing title of the song.
The lyrics, which are equally disturbing, appear to justify killing girls who play on their boyfriends.
"Slay queen pigwa shoka...
"Wewe ni player pigwa shoka (If you are a slay queen you will be axed, If you are a player you will be axed), " the chorus of the stomach-turning song goes.
In the video are youngsters both male and female.
The females are seen gyrating on the males as if in approval of the macabre messaging of the tune.
It embraces shocking imagery such as shirts drenched in crimson to symbolise blood and males brandishing axes with lethal intent.
The video was uploaded two weeks ago and has yet to be removed in spite of its explicit advocacy of violence against women.
It was released amid growing concern over the brutal murder of women by men.
Ivy Wangeci, a medicine student at Moi University was killed hacked to death by a spurned lover according to media reports.
