This was after Osoro said on social media that Matiang'i was not fit to vie for the presidency likening him to a "hardware with no software".

He further said that he has interacted with Matiang'i and that he is a man who likes quarrelling all time and his tenure will be argumentative.

The MCAs on Thursday met in Kisii where they condemned the MP saying that he should respect Matiang'i saying his remarks were an insult to Omogusii community.

"I am warning you! If you don't come to Kisii while running, your chances of being elected in 2022 are zero. We will not elect you by virtue of your arrogance. The money that you have been given that you are walking around with does not make you a leader. There are many people who come from South Mugirango that can be in that seat," Sensi ward MCA Paul Angwenyi charged.

"We want to give you a message that Matiang'i is a national figure and not an MCA or assistant chief that you walk around mentioning his name. We ask Osoro to come slow," nominated MCA Sanaya Betseba added.

Bomachoge Bobasi ward MCA Rose Orundo held that Osoro's remarks against Matiang'i is an insult to the whole community.

"We condemn what Osoro said against Matiang'i in social media, a leader we respect so much. When you insult him, you insult the Omogusii tribe at large," she said.
