The seven were on Friday remanded for two weeks over allegations of assaulting the assembly Speaker Elizabeth Ayoo during a clash that was witnessed a month ago.

Kisumu High Court Judge Justice Fred Ojwang released the group on a personal bond of Sh250, 000 and a surety of the same on Monday.

The group which has been in remand at the Kodiaga Prison in Kisumu was also slapped with a set of conditions which upon contravening they will land back in Prison.

They are Evans Marieba of Gwasi North Ward, Dan Were (Kakelo Kakwanyo Ward), Paul Wamunga of North Karachuonyo Ward and Geoffrey Juma Onyango of Kabondo West Ward.

Others are Philemon Onditi (Kagan Ward), Paul Andika of Lambwe Ward and Wang'chieng' Ward's Peter Kaula.

Appearing before a Magistrate's Court in Kisumu on Friday only hours after they surrendered themselves to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters in Kisumu, they were remanded to give time for investigations.

Ayoo claimed that the group pounced on her with beatings in October, before impeaching her, but has since been reinstated and acquired orders to remain in office.

The lawmakers accused her of bias and incompetence.
