More leaders from Gusii region have reacted after Kiogoro MCA in Kisii County Samuel Apoko called for the immediate disbandment of Nyamira County.
Mr Apoko on Friday suggested that the whole of Nyamira County should be made a Sub-County for Kisii County.
A Nyamira politician Victor Swanya protested the MCA's suggestion saying that won't happen.
"Who is Apoko to undermine Nyamira County government? He must apologize to Nyamira leaders and the elecotrates for coming up with the disrespectful suggestion," said Swanya.
The vocal politician allied to NASA said Nyamira County government was formed constitutionally.
A Jubilee youth leader Isaac Motari said the MCA suggested for the disbandment of the county because elected leaders are not working are required.
"Let Nyamira leaders work to boost the lives of the people to avoid being criticized. Unnecessary attacks on Mr Apoko won't help at the moment," said Motari.
Ex-Bonchari MP Protus Momanyi it won't be a crime disbanding Nyamira County.
"Making Nyamira County a Sub-County is a good idea but, it will depend on how that will be actualized," said the ex-lawmaker.
Earlier, Nyamira County MP Jerusha Momanyi had protested saying Nyamira County stands on her own.
