Migori County Police Commander Joseph Nthenge said police are winding investigations into the bizarre murder and may not be able to arraign the three as the inquest is still underway.

"We will not arraign the suspects immediately as we are still investigating the incident," Nthenge said.

Homicide detectives on Friday arrested three suspects; Robert Masiaga, Tabitha Boke and Joseph Gati and recovered assorted items believed to have been used in the murder.

The detectives acting on a tip-off traced the suspects to a hideout and recovered the weapons and police uniforms.

Among the items recovered during the morning raid are; a loaded AK-47 rifle, over 200 assorted ammunition, a Ceska pistol magazine, handcuffs and police jungle uniforms at a hideout in Maeta village in Kuria East.

The items recovered were neatly wrapped in a polythene paper and hidden in a composite pit.

Nyagaka was killed on April 2 by unknown assailants as he was Harding home.
