In July 2017 during his political campaigns, Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua linked former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti to a land grabbing scandal in Mavoko Sub County.
Mutua who was addressing residents at Tala market in Matungulu Sub County said Ndeti formed a company named Wande which she used to grab the land.
He said she then went ahead to sell the land to unsuspecting customers.
"Wavinya formed a company called Wande which she used to grab land and sell to unsuspecting clients, I dare her to call the press and tell her story," Mutua said.
Mutua said there were people who are on wrong side of the law due to the land they were sold to by Ndeti, their houses were demolished by the government.
Mutua said the Wiper politician should tell Machakos residents whether their parcels of land will be safe if she's elected as governor due to the fact that she has been accused of land grabbing.
The governor said Ndeti had also squandered money meant to support widows during her reign as Kathiani MP.Ndeti, however, trashed Mutua's claims saying she is used to his bickering.
She asked Mutua to go to court if he has evidence to support his allegations and if not, he should stop making noise.
