There was high political temperature across the country after the August 8, 2017 elections.
The Jubilee administration locked horns with the opposition on several occasions.
Last year, the Jubilee supporters called for the arrest of Makueni's Wiper nominated MCA Mbula Mutula.
This is after the MCA posted a controversial message on her Facebook page that irked Jubilee supporters who forwarded her posts to the police.
The supporters claimed the post would bring about more harm than good to Kenyans at the time at which there was political tension in the country.
In her Facebook account the updates read:
'What's happening in Ruaraka, Mungiki in police uniform slaughtering NASA supporters mercilessly and Uhuru is happy about it. So if you support NASA, you are not allowed to be in Jubilee strongholds? They have decided to protect 'uthamaki' by slaughtering other tribes, how many Kikuyus are in Kisumu, Mombasa, Machakos, Makueni, Kitui and Western? The cursed tribe is allover like bacteria and very soon we will find a way of doing away with them from our strongholds even if it means chasing them physically and boycott their businesses completely. Why do they think they are special no tribe is special than the other and every life matters. We will RESIST this humanity till we liberate this country. Blessed Sunday.#NRMhandwritting.
What angered the supporters more was the fact that no action was taken against the MCA despite reporting the article.
