From the look of things, there seems to be a class struggle in the 2022 Presidential race pitying the "bourgeoisie" and the "hustler" nation in what is promising to be a bare-knuckled fight.
Gideon Moi, the heir to the throne of former retired President Daniel arap Moi has thrown the gauntlet to Deputy President William Ruto who relishes political fights of any magnitude.
Yet, seemingly, the entry of Gideon Moi seems to complicate matters for the hustler as he makes the treacherous journey to 2022. Moi has been seen heading to Nyanza, the backyard of Odinga, where he has received immense support from those who view him as a moderate voice as opposed to the abrasive Deputy President.
Ruto allies seem not to like the intrusion of Moi's protege in the political scene which may rob him of a few vital votes in his backyard.
If I were however to advise DP Ruto, I would tell him to ignore Gideon Moi for two vital reasons: one, our people say that a fly my dance around a mountain of dung, but it will not succeed in pushing it into the pit; two, Gideon Moi may be vital in "spoiling" the Nyanza vote which would definitely go to his rivals.
As they say, the friend of your rival may be your friend as well. William Ruto should allow Gideon Moi to make his proverbial ritual dance around the mound of dung.
