Ex-MCA to Kanyadoto ward Lawrence Mula was on Sunday night taken to Homa Bay police station in connection to the cruel murder.

Mr. Mula was taken in for questioning when it emerged that he'd introduced the late Rongo University student to Journalist Barack Oduor.

Oduor, a correspondent to the Nation, survived a possible execution when he reportedly jumped from a speeding vehicle of kidnappers.

Police Commander Marious Tum could not however state whether the former MCA would be arraigned to court along with Mr. Oyamo.

Sharon's mutilated body was discovered at a thicket in Homa Bay hours after she was abducted.

According to the family, she had an affair with Migori Governor Okoth Obado and had allegedly been carrying his baby.

Melida Auma, Sharon's mother, said that the governor has been threatening her daughter to abort the pregnancy thus their differences.

DPP Noordin Haji insisted that all culprits including Obado would be arrested if evidence links them to the cruel murder.

Mr. Oyamo was arraigned in court on Monday and is waiting whether he will be released on bond.
