Deputy President William Ruto left a crowd in stitches after he made a joke about Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria’s pair of shoes.
The two were attending a fundraiser in Elburgon, Nakuru on Saturday, August 11 for the construction of a dormitory.
As MPs made their contribution, Kuria handed over Sh100, 000 to DP Ruto who was the chief guest.
“Moses Kuria ametoa one hundred thousand, anasema hana kitu ata hii kiatu ati aliwachiwa na Jomo kwa sababu ndio alikuwa mjumbe wa huko Gatundu,” Ruto said.
Gatundu South is the home of President Uhuru Kenyatta where his dad, Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, used to live at their Ichaweri home.
The joke left those in attendance in stitches as Kuria also laughed back to Ruto. He, obviously, was not expecting the joke.
Kuria seems to be enjoying a very good chemistry with Ruto.
A few weeks ago, the MP claimed that the choppers Ruto uses to crisscross the country belong to him.
“Mwisho ni kwa principal wa hii shule, amesema chopper ya Deputy President ililand hapa nataka tu niseme hio chopper ni yangu ni mimi nilikuwa nimempatia,” Kuria said during a fundraising at a school in Kirinyaga county.
