Migori Women Representative Dr Pamela Odhiambo was on Sunday morning involved in a tragic accident that left her bodyguard dead.
The latest report indicates that Dr Odhiambo has been transferred to Nairobi Hospital for specialised treatment.
While being transferred, the Woman Rep reportedly told the journalists "I am well".
The legislator had been admitted at the Aga Khan hospital in Kisumu where she received treatment immediately after the accident.
Reports from doctors at the Aga Khan hospital indicated that Dr Odhiambo sustained chest injuries but was in stable condition.
So far, a number of leaders have messages of goodwill and condolences to the legislator, and the family of her late bodyguard respectively.
Opposition Chief Raila Odinga in a tweet noted that; " We have received disturbing news about Migori Women Representative Hon Dr Pamela Odhiambo being involved in a grisly road accident this morning. I wish the MP quick recovery.
"My deep and sincere condolences to the family of Dr Odhiambo's body guard Mr Owich who, unfortunately, lost his life in the accident," he posted on his Twitter handle.
Speaker Justin Muturi on his part posted; "I wish the Migori County Woman Representative, Hon. Dr. Pamela Odhiambo, a quick recovery following a grisly road accident in which she was involved, on her way to Homa Bay this morning. My condolences to the family of her aide who lost his life in the accident.
