Police in Rongai, Nakuru County have launched investigations into an incident in which a middle-age man is reported to have murdered his wife before taking his life.
The man identified as Robert Nyakundi reportedly committed the act in the village of Mawe in Visoi Ward on Wednesday night.
According to neighbors, the suspect stabbed the wife seven times on the chest.
Led by Peter Rokwaro, the neighbors said the couple have had misunderstandings since September which might have led to the incident.
Confirming the incident, area Nyumba Kumi chairperson Alfred Rono said it was so saddening for such an incident to happen in the area.
He called on married partners to have alternative mechanisms of solving disputes rather than taking their lives.
The two bodies were taken to Nakuru mortuary.
