The MPs argue that Knec's decision to cancel the results was malicious and are now demanding the CS and the exams' body to produce transcripts for students whose results were cancelled.

Speaking separately, Fafi MP Abdikadir Osman and his Balambala counterpart Osman Shurie have given Knec a seven-day ultimatum to produce the transcripts.

The MPs argue that students whose results were cancelled never engaged in malpractices as the exams' body claims.

“We are telling Knec to release the results of the affected students or we meet in court,” Balambala MP said.

Mr Shurie observed that the affected students are emotionally disturbed over the cancellation.

“It is malicious for Knec to claim that some students and schools engaged in malpractices when the exams were well supervised,” Fafi MP said.

The MP stated that they will not allow dreams of young Kenyans to be destroyed.

On Tuesday, the examinations' body announced that the results of 3,427 candidates were cancelled over irregularities.

Among schools in Garissa whose results were cancelled include Busra High school, Ikhlas, Dertu Girls, Hulugho Boys and Girls, Young Muslim, Nanighi and Al-Azhar.
