Sharing beauty products is not a good idea. This is a bad culture to those of you who love borrowing these products and exposes you and the owner to health risks. Here are three reasons why you should never share beauty products.
1. Eye infections
One of the things you should never share is eye makeup. Mascara is the most common eye makeup that you are likely to share. Please note that doing so will expose you to the risk of contracting the very contagious eye infections. This is the reason the pink eye spreads rapidly.
2. Virus and bacterial infections
Bacteria and viruses are easily transmitted if you share applicators, brushes and sponges. You are advised to avoid sharing these products to avoid getting staph infections. One person should only use the other products where you use a finger to scope them and apply.
3. Cross-contamination
This affects products where you have to dip into their container to apply. Wax is one the product that can easily lead to cross-contamination. The beauty products are mixed with several body fluids, hair, bacteria and skin cells. You should make sure a different scoping item with the person who must share it. After use, wash them thoroughly before reusing.
