It now emerges that Chief Justice David Maraga is slowly becoming an important organ in President Uhuru Kenyatta's delivery unit.
The President has been on the rush to deliver and realize his Big 4 reelection agenda, a bid that however seems stuck in unending politicking and graft in his cabinet.
Consequently, Uhuru seems to have reached out to the CJ to help out as he tries to push some of his projects aligned to the Big 4 Agenda through.
Such came on Friday when a section of his Cabinet Secretaries met Maraga in a bid to unblock mega-projects that have stalled in litigation.
CS's present were Fred Matiangi (Interior), James Macharia (Transport) and Faridah Karoney (Land).
Others were Attorney General Kihara Kariuki, Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho and Solicitor General Kennedy Ogeto.
"The Cabinet committee has identified prolonged adjudication of these cases as one of the major setbacks in the delivery life of national government projects,” the Interior Ministry later said in a statement, according to the Standard.
The projects which have been challenged in court are worth Ksh30 billion and are mostly to do with water and power.
This came only two days after Maraga was spotted with Uhuru in Kisii county on Wednesday, an appearance that has been questioned by a section of politicians.
