Slightly a month after Governor John Nyagarama landed from US after close to three months of treatment, his deputy Amos Nyaribo will be flying to India on Monday for specialised medical attention.
A source privy to the health of the ODM deputy governor said he has been struggling with kidney failure and has been under dialysis.
"The DG's situation has worsened and he will be flying to India on Monday evening for specialised treatment.
"For all these months, he has been undergoing dialysis locally but a doctor has advised to have him taken to Indian," he said.
Last Sunday, Nyaribo, who was acting county boss throughout Nyagarama's absence, was pictured struggling to walk on his own at Kisumu International Airport.
And his situation may complicate fight against graft given when he was holding brief for Nyagarama, he cracked whip on people he termed as cartels.
On July 20th during the burial of Ndemo Nyagarama, the eldest son of Nyagarama, Mr. Nyaribo was heckled in Raila Odinga's presence but only to hit back at his critics.
"These are cartels fighting back. I did my job well and time shall vindicate me," he had said.
It is however not clear how long the deputy county boss will be out of the country.
